An Overview of the Symmetry Conserving Configuration Mixing Description of Atomic Nuclei with the Gogny Force

Abstract. We present an overview of recent results within the most advanced Beyond Mean Field Theory approaches with effective forces. Specifically, we discuss bulk properties along the Magnesium isotopic chain as well as the excitation spectra of the even-even nucleus 44S and the odd-even nucleus 25Mg. The results of the calculations successfully reproduce the experimental data.
