The Investigation of Dielectric Properties of Na Cationic Form of Clinoptilolite Obtained from Manisa-Gordes Region in Turkey

Abstract. In this study, at the temperature range from -40℃ to 90℃ and some frequencies through the microwave region, dielectric properties of Na cationic form of clinoptilolite obtained from Manisa- Gordes region in Turkey were investigated by us. Pressing the samples of powder Na-clinoptilolite diameters of which are smaller than 63 μm, the tablets which have certain diameters and certain thicknesses, were prepared. The surfaces of these tablets were covered by gold. The samples which were so prepared were settled into measuring cell developed by us. Using impedance analyser HP4192A, at microwave region and at above defined temperature range, the measures of capacitances versus frequencies were realized. First of all, free-space capacitance was calculated and using the data of capacitances versus frequencies, relative dielectric constants (εr), imaginary dielectric constants (εr), loss tangents (tanδ), quality factors (Q) of the samples were calculated. Finally εr versus T, εr versus T, εr versus εr, Q versus T, tanδ versus T at different frequencies were plotted.
