Abstract. We study the distribution of 0 and B-type stars in a field 10°×10° centered on the Galactic stellar association Canis Major OB1. All stars with spectral type earlier than A0 from the HD and PPM catalogues and all OB-type stars from the LS catalogues are used to collate the sample. The CMa OB1 association is situated beyond the limits of the Hipparcos Survey (ESA 1997), thus the photometry remains the most efficient tool to reveal its characteristics. We collate all uvbyβ photometric data available in the literature in order to delineate the Galactic structure towards the region. Here we present some aspects of our work regarding the data collection.
