Abstract. The "Photon-MD" program aims to train high-level specialists in Photonics at Politehnica University, Bucharest. This purpose can't be achieved without improving the basic understanding of some key concepts in physics (relativity and time-dilation phenomena and the non-commutative properties of operators in quantum theory). For easy applying these concepts some well-defined mathematical and intuitive models must be used. This paper presents simple and intuitive methods for working with optical wave-trains measurements and transformations; these methods are based on the use of the cuadridimensional interval upon certain wave-train and on the use of Fourrier transformation for representing non-commutative properties. They are part of an additional manual used by the teaching component of "Photon-MD" program [1].
