Abstract. Filtration of water samples with two different transport velocities across a porous medium is examined and change of water properties due to filtration is observed with subsequent conservation of this change in time. As a method to manifest these effects, we use a comparison of the two distributions of wetting angles obtained during the evaporation of sample sessile drops taken before and after the filtration. As a porous medium a folio with small holes of 0.15 micrometer size was used. A clear difference between these two distributions is observed and this difference is conserved 24 and 48 hours after the water filtration.
