Abstract. We discuss the application of the Bogolyubov transformation to an? harmonic oscillators and show that an iterative procedure recently proposed to eliminate part of the off-diagonal terms in the transformed Hamiltonian operator is unnecessary. If one transforms the whole operator instead of a part of it, then the final result is obtained directly.
