Alpha Particle Fragments Produced from Multifragmentation of 16O + 16O

Abstract. Angular distribution for alpha particles produced from multifragmentation of 16O + 16O reactions are calculated using the statistical scission model. The alpha particles are sequentially emitted from long lived states of primary fragments populated in these reactions. Eight alpha particles are produced in these reactions. The calculations are carried out for different energies and for different nuclear temperatures. The variances of this multifragmentation process have been numerically calculated. The obtained results are in good agreement with previous calculations.
