Abstract. A device for real-time measurement of Stokes parameters is described. It comprises an original optical part, an electronic phototransducer unit with digitization and a personal computer. The optical adjustment is easy and calibration is achieved with a single measurement of a linearly polarized light beam with known intensity and wavelength. The instrument is used for real-time measurement of the photoinduced anisotropic changes in the optical constants of samples of rigid solution of iluorecein in orthoboric acid.
