On Associated Algebras to a Lie Algebra and Their Role in Its Identification

Abstract. We consider a finite–dimensional complex Lie algebra and introduce certain associated Lie algebras of operators, similar to the algebra of derivations. Dimensions and characteristics of these associated algebras form invariants of the original algebra. We demonstrate on examples the usefulness of these invariants.
