Transport Phenomena in Solid Solutions p-Pb1-xSnxTe. III. Six-Band Model - Approximations and Kinetic Coefficients

Abstract. Two approximations of the six-band model are studied. Expressions are derived for the effective masses, number and density of states, relaxation time by taking into account the effect of non-parabolicity. Kinetic integrals are introduced and through them the kinetic coefficients are expressed. The effect of the band parameters and the energy band gap on the dispersion law, mobiiity, thermoelectric power is studied. The possibilities are discussed for application to the system Pb1-xSnxTe.
