Thermodynamics of Static Black Objects in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet Gravity

Abstract. In this contribution we review recent investigations of the thermodynamics of static black objects such as black holes, black strings and their generalizations ("black branes") in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity in D dimensions with D-4 dimensions compactified on a symmetric torus (S1)(D-4).
