Relativistic Hartree-Fock Approach for Nuclear Systems

Abstract. The relativistic Hartree-Fock (RHF) method for nuclear systems is presented. An effective Lagrangian with density-dependent meson-nucleon couplings is constructed. It contains nucleon, σ-, ω-, ρ-, π- and photon fields. The parameters of the model are adjusted to best reproduce the bulk properties of nuclear matter and the binding energies of a set of selected nuclei. The resulting Lagrangians describe very satisfactorily the binding energies and radii of a wide range of nuclei.
